Position Available:

Full-time (4-day work week) Mid-level Family Law Associate Attorney for a well-established family law firm in La Mesa. This position is onsite with hybrid work options available.

Compensation:

$144,384, base salary plus up to an additional $6,200 in potential monthly bonuses, for a total of up to $218,784 annually, plus full benefits and additional discretionary bonuses.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  • Managing cases in accordance with client objectives and advancing the case toward a timely resolution.
  • Correspondence (via telephone, email, etc.) with opposing counsel, clients, and the court.
  • Making court appearances and conducting depositions.
  • Drafting declarations, motions, discovery, and judgments.
  • Conducting legal research and writing memoranda of points and authorities.
  • Maintenance of client relations.
  • Providing litigation support for partner attorneys.

Qualifications Required:
  • 5 years of Family Law experience.
  • Licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Experienced and thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiar with the demands of handling a robust family law trial court caseload.
  • Works quickly with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Competent and effective litigator.
  • Comfortable and skilled litigating in court and taking depositions.
  • Excels at writing effective motions, declarations, trial briefs, etc.
  • Initiates and sees beyond an immediate list of tasks, anticipating needs.
  • Seeks out work when the workload runs low.
  • Good at identifying obstacles and creating strategies to resolve them.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, but not rigid.
  • Focused and able to spin multiple plates at the same time.
  • Comfortable delegating tasks to the paralegal support team and following-up as necessary.
  • Quickly recalls the status of various cases in progress.
  • Understands the process of a family law case from beginning to end and can anticipate and execute the next steps toward bringing the case to a resolution.
  • Willing to support a partner-level attorney’s caseload as needed in addition to handling own caseload.
  • Works well with people, including team members and clients.
  • Compassionate and patient in helping others going through a crisis.
  • Communicates clearly, effectively, and promptly.
  • Values loyalty.
  • Listens to clients’ needs and delivers high-level service.
